Although I do not play the accordian, I thoroughly enjoyed reading E. Annie Proulx' book, Accordian Crimes. For anyone on this tribe, this book is a must!

Yeah! I am Halfway through it right now! It is a bit heavy but I enjoy the twists of fate and the path of the accodian through it.

I read this book in 2005...I really enjoyed the discription of what it's like to be playing the accordion... how it "breathes" with you... it really hit a nerve with me and put a big smile on my face. Also gave me a better understanding of the roots of the accordion. Wonderful story too.

Yeah! I heard that an accordion maker in the area helped with all of the technical and historical info during writing, I really loved that it was so true to the accordeen. Beautiful descriptions, and sensory detail. This book is a must read for all accordion lovers.
